Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council Annual Theme Branding and Marketing

Background

As the COVID-19 pandemic continued into 2021, we were again asked to create a logo deck for the Northwest Mountain Minority Council’s yearly theme and a slide deck for use in their online marketing and in-person events.

Strategy

This time around, we were experienced with working remotely and could create a flexible strategy that worked around the limitations of working during a pandemic.

The council’s 2021 theme was “Innovate Now & Transcend Generations,” which to the council, meant “building value on a continuum for the betterment of our communities in the future.”

Design

One key element of the 2021 theme was “focusing on the next three generations, the future leaders of our communities to a better future in perpetuity.”

When creating a design, we incorporated the theme by keeping the design dynamic and versatile. We repeated the word “Generations” in groups of 3 and changed the “wave” theme from last year to a circle to represent these themes.

Execution

We created several variations of the 2021 theme logo, so the council could have flexibility when placing the logo on different colored backgrounds. In total we delivered a primary logo for use on light backgrounds, a logo for use on dark backgrounds, and a logo with a glowing effect for when the council wanted the logo to stand out.

Evaluation

During their 25th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser & Silent Auction, the council raised over $13,246 for the MBE scholarship fund, a huge success. Trio participated in the fundraiser, the first in-person event since the pandemic began.
